Joseph’s House is a ministry of the Catholic Church serving Chittenden County.
Joseph's House was founded in 2000 to serve the Old North end of Burlington and the parish community, thanks to the generosity of the parishioners St. Joseph's, the Society of Saint Edmund, and Robert & Cynthia Hoehl. Our ministry now reaches beyond the O.N.E.* as we work to promote positive social change in the community through outreach and parish ministry in light of Catholic Social Teaching.
Joseph's House is able to assist with a variety of needs, such as utility shut-offs, food and laundry vouchers, clothing vouchers, bus passes and personal hygiene items. We also refer clients to other agencies and help advocate when possible. The program is funded entirely through donations and fundraising.
Joseph's House is located at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street, Burlington, Vermont.
Office hours are 10:00-4:00** Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Anyone in need of assistance is welcome to call Joseph's House at (802) 951-4290 to schedule an appointment.
Please note: Appointments are scheduled during office hours.
